Participants of AI4SD’s Innovation Challenge gain knowledge in AI Production and Commercialization

Participants of the AI4SD Innovation Challenge have been trained on productionizing and commercializing AI through the Responsible AI Lab (RAIL).

The training aims to equip them with practical tools for advancing AI production and monetizing AI capabilities, with funding from the French Embassy in Ghana and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), alongside support from the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO), the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), and Artificial Intelligence for Development (AI4D).

The first training session was delivered by Mr. Jeremiah Ayensu, Senior AI Engineer at MinoHealth AI Labs, with over 60 participants in attendance.

Mr. Ayensu focused on topics such as deploying traditional machine learning models in production, covering the end-to-end AI production pipeline and the differences between productionizing AI and traditional software.

He emphasized the importance of monitoring and maintaining security when building AI systems.

“To avoid putting your model at risk, you have to monitor and be security-conscious when developing AI models,” he said.
